A collection of keyrings inspired by the beauty and essence of Sicily
This project was created in collaboration with a small independent shop based in Taormina, Sicily. I worked closely with the shop owner – a passionate and creative woman who commissioned me to design a collection of keyrings inspired by the beauty and essence of Sicily.

Together, we developed the concept from scratch. I was responsible for the entire product design, from selecting the subjects to creating all the original illustrations. After deciding which elements to feature and sketching the designs, I focused on building a vibrant colour palette that could capture the warmth, energy, and richness of Sicilian culture.

The illustrations are minimal and stylised, designed to be playful, bold, and easy to recognise. Colour played a key role throughout the process – not just visually, but as a way to express the island’s spirited personality and emotional depth.
The result is a set of six matching keyring pairs, each one created to be shared – by couples, friends, siblings, or anyone who shares a special bond. Each design features a single word, repeated across both keyrings in the pair. These words are closely connected to the illustrated subject and add an emotional, poetic layer to the design – turning each piece into a small, meaningful keepsake.

The keyrings are made of fabric and embroidered with the illustrated motifs, giving each one texture and character. From the very first day they were introduced in-store, they began selling steadily and quickly became one of the shop’s best-sellers.

This project is a celebration of heartfelt collaboration, storytelling through illustration, and the vibrant soul of Sicily – turned into something you can carry with you.
