Product Catalogue Design
As part of my freelance design work, I was responsible for the full creation of a digital product catalogue for a local shop in Sicily. This was the shop’s very first catalogue, so I not only designed it but also defined its overall structure from scratch. The project began with the collection and organisation of all product data, including images, product names, formats, sizes, weights, ingredients, and prices, which I compiled into a detailed spreadsheet to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Since the shop only had a logo but no established brand identity, I developed a simple yet cohesive visual identity tailored to its needs. Building on the existing logo and its single colour, and in close collaboration with the shop owner, I created a five-colour palette and selected suitable typography to give the catalogue a distinctive yet professional look.
The catalogue itself included an introductory section with a brief description of the brand and its founder, practical information on how to order, and the full product listings, divided into three categories: pantry, home, and personal care. The product section was structured in two parts: a visually engaging layout with product images accompanied by minimal text, and a more detailed tabular section, where each product was presented with its price, ingredients and nutritional values (where applicable), sizes, fabrics, or other relevant features.
Designed to be used exclusively in digital format, the catalogue incorporated interactive elements to enhance navigation. The index was fully clickable, allowing users to jump directly to specific sections, while the footer included shortcuts back to the start of the document. This combination of clear structure, visual consistency, and interactive design provided an intuitive and pleasant browsing experience for users, and gave the shop a professional tool to present its products and communicate with its customers.

I truly enjoyed working on this project, and I particularly valued the opportunity to build a catalogue from the ground up — shaping both its structure and visual identity to create a tool that is not only functional but also engaging for customers.
Thank you for being here, Alice.
